I'm leavin' on a jet plane...

Should I be embarrassed it's been so long since I've posted an entry here...or just glad to be writing again?!?! I have a good excuse to be back here blogging and I hope you'll follow me on my next adventure!

India has called me back...and I'm very excited to answer! My first trip to India was so unbelievably enchanting, so much so that I knew I'd be back someday. I just had no idea it would happen so soon!

About a year ago, my Rotary Club (the Rotary Club of Terra Linda) took on a major project of sponsoring a Rotaplast medical mission to Nagamangala, India. It's not typical that one club will take on sponsorship alone...normally it's a combination of clubs or even an entire district of Rotary Clubs. We think BIG in our club!

As a result of being the sole misson sponsor, our club members had first dibs at the 10 spots open for non-medical volunteers. The entire team is made up of about 25 people; 15 medical volunteers and 10 non-medical volunteers.

It didn't take me very long to figure out that this was a priceless opportunity and I was going to do my best to be a part of this team!

Imagine for a minute...combining my newly discovered love of traveling in India, the opportunity to help people bring their smiles from the inside out, my excitement for Rotary, my respect for medicine and the joy of children all rolled up into one experience!

I am one lucky, lucky girl...
